The final for the 07/08 season took place on April 19. Casa Da Madeira was elegantly transformed by Grace of Precious FlowersʼNʼThings.
A scrumptious meal was presented by the wonderful volunteers at Canadian Madeira Club and, once again, it was right on schedule!

There was an extra treat during dessert as singer Shawn Desman made a surprise appearance to offer words of encouragement to the contestants. He admitted that while he had been in a few contests as a kid, he had never won any... but he never let that stop him. He also praised the parents for supporting their young ones in following their dreams. He recalled that there was nothing quite like the ASCw/JS when he was a kid and was very impressed by the hard work that John Santos put into the contest.

We were pleased that Lidia Ferreira of OMNI Television was able to return as MC and after dinner she proceeded to introduce invited guests, including the representatives of clubs and media that were present as well as the sponsors of this event.
